The Spring 2011 semester is almost here...your CCLD/Career Center team wishes you well in the new year and hopes you use these excellent resources along your career journey:
1. Applied Psychology classes are an excellent resource to help you prepare for your career in a structured way. If you're uncertain in your path, or need another class on your schedule, consider Applied Psychology classes like this one!
2. The new year is a great time to review your Resume. The 2010 Orange County Resume Survey is a great resource for details on what employers really want to see!
3. We've increased Career Counseling appointments for Spring 2011. Please call us at 949/582-4575 to schedule an appointment today! Weekly hours are:
Tuesdays 12 - 4pm (4 1hr slots available)
Tuesdays 3 - 7pm (4 1hr slots available)
Wednesdays 12 - 4pm (4 1hr slots available)
Thursdays 10am - 7pm (8 1hr slots available)

4. R U Linked? Linkedin.com is an excellent tool to research people, industries, and connect/network with professionals in your industry. Join the Saddleback College Career Network group to get started - we have over 175 members!

Resume Critique: Mondays - Thursdays 4pm - 4:30pm
Bring your resume for a quick 10 minute review.
Resume Workshop: Mondays and Tuesdays 3pm - 4pm
I will present the basics of creating a resume including styles, formats, and content choices.
Job Search Workshop: Thursdays 3pm - 4pm
I will present some excellent tools and strategies to use in your job search.
