Visual Merchandising Internship - Anthropologie

Fashion Student Amanda Schultz took FASH 145 Internship this past Fall and did her Visual Merchandising Internship at Anthropologie at the Irvine Spectrum. Check out what she has to say about her experience on her internship and the Fashion Program at Saddleback:

Name: Amanda Schultz

Internship (company and type of internship): Anthropologie (Irvine Spectrum), Visual Merchandising
Describe your personal style: All-American; Yacht club - meets - varsity vintage - meets - beach party.
Describe some of your hobbies: Shopping, traveling, and cuddling my two, adorable kitties.

Favorit e experience at Saddleback: My most memorable SBC experience is helping with the 2007, Carpe Diem fashion show. Putting on Carpe Diem was a great bonding experience and an awesome way to kick off my first year at Saddleback. I also really enjoyed assisting in the Fashion 150 (fashion apparel and professional techniques) class through the school's TPP program.
Something really cool you have learned on your internship: Anthropologie is big on recycling and using day-to-day materials to create their windows. I learned so many simple, yet creative ways to create windows that are extravagant, yet cost affordable.

What advice would you have for a new student at Saddleback: Saddleback has been an awesome experience for me. Enjoy the time you have there and get involved as much as possible. Ask questions, join the fashion club, and take advantage of all the free field trips. Most importantly, get to know the fashion teachers, they are full of awesome advice!
