Illustration Workshop: Level Beginner
Saturday, February 5th , 2011
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This introductory course introduces basic illustration styles and techniques to aspiring fashion illustrators. Students work on the drawing, sketching and textile rendering skills needed to create illustrations on both male and female figures. The emphasis of introductory courses is on basic anatomy, drawing proportion and composition.

Part I. Will focus on basic proportions and technique with a template

Part II.
Part two will teach how to use marker pens pencil for fabric rendering

ADDITIONAL COURSES AVAILABLE- intermediate to advance

Students in advanced fashion illustration courses build off the foundational skills they acquired in basic courses to create more complex illustrations. After mastering basic composition and proportion, advanced students pay more attention to detail and texture. Advanced students also study body movement and how it affects garments on the models.

Bio: Kiana Anvaripour
After graduating from Otis College of Art and Design in 2003 Kiana Anvaripour embarked on her fashion career and headed to London, England. This is where she began her experience in Luxury Lingerie and Evening wear for 5 years. She was later offered a position to return to her home, Los Angeles where she now currently resides as a consultant and illustrator for several premium brands.

Material cost included- which includes 11x17 marker paper, tria and pantone markers to work with in nude and basic tones, colored pencils, blender marker and a 0.5 mechanical pencil.
